u15s Player Profiles


Chris Scullion – Goalkeeper:
Only signed this year and in his first season playing soccer Chris has been a valuable signing for his side. A great shot stopper, his semi-final penalty save ensured that Draperstown Youth reached their first final.

Mark McAuley – Defender:
Mark is Mr Consistent, a dependable right back who rarely misses a tackle considering his small stature. 2008/2009 Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year.

Stevie O’Hara – Defender:
A tall, strong commanding centre-half, very good in the air and very skilful on the ground. Has popped up with some valuable goals for his team this year. Recently selected to be part of the County Milk Cup squad.

Cahir McCabe (Capt) – Defender:
A solid, consistent player who is very strong in the tackle and never gives up. Has added goal scoring to his repertoire this year.

Jack English – Defender:
A strong and quick versatile defender, Jack can play anywhere in the back line. Very competitive and hates to lose. Last seasons Rising Star Award winner.

Conor McAuley – Defender/ Midfield:
A skilful and versatile player Conor can play left back or left midfield. Very comfortable on the ball he can quickly turn defence into attack.

Danny Doyle – Defender/Midfield:
A very popular member of the squad Danny gives his all no matter the position he plays, centre half or holding midfielder. Great to have in the dressing room or pitch.

Conor McKenna – Midfield:
A quiet and unassuming player, Conor is a combative midfielder who works hard for his team in every game. Very effective in breaking up attacks he has been a valuable signing this season.

Oisin Hegarty – Midfield:
Another quiet player who goes about his job without any fuss. Always works hard for his team and does the simple things well.

Piaras Flanagan – Midfield:
A very quick wide player, Piaras is a very skilful player who puts in a lot of work for his team. Pushing to be leading goal scorer this season.

Tiernan Flanagan – Midfield/Forward:
Younger brother of Piaras and youngest player in the squad. A very pacy skilful player who has lots of promise and is maturing every year. Locked in battle with his brother for leading goal scorer.

Tom Greenwood – Midfield:
A great club man, Tom can be relied upon to give his all when called upon. Very hard working.

Conor McDevitt – Midfield:
A very industrious player Conor can play anywhere in the midfield and is very dependable. New to the squad this season, he has fitted in very well.

Ryan McGuigan – Forward:
A very intelligent footballer, Ryan is excellent at holding the ball up. He has a complete range of passing and is a sweet striker of the ball. His corners and free kicks can create problems. Last seasons leading scorer.

Conor Convery – Forward:
A quick and direct front man Conor will get a goal given the chance and is a potential match winner. A handful for any defender, he never stops running.

Zak Elalilou – Forward:
Another good club man, Zak gives his best when called upon. Will hassle defenders into mistakes. A lively character around the dressing room.
