looking forward to what I see as our 1st competitive game(s) of the season, I have always held our competition in high regard and as a club we haven’t always done ourselves justice in it. hopefully this year will be different
Gary , Ralph , myself and all at Roe Rovers would just like to re-iterate what we said last night , a big thanks to yourself and Draperstown FC for your invite and for looking after us so kindly .
Congratulations to Dungannon Tigers , they are a good outfit.
Regardless of us getting to the final or not , it was nice to be asked and it was a privilege to take part in the Tournament , in what I’m sure is a very emotional and difficult time for both the Mc Groogan family and Draperstown FC.
Although the players are disappointed at losing , from a Managers point of view it was an invaluable 3 games for the club / players and that was what we set out to do……we got 25 players involved over the last 3 games , so I’m really pleased with our performance at this stage of Pre season , and 3 more weeks to go.
We are looking to build a strong Club , with good fellas on board , just not good footballers but good lads as well and Gary , Ralph , myself and the rest of the coaches have worked hard over the last 18 months to get where we are so the future is bright , we just need to keep plugging away
Good luck to Draperstown Football Club in the coming Season and hopefully we’ll have the pleasure of being invited back for next year.
All the best
Paddy
