Golf Classic Day – Update
July 12, 2006
Draperstown Celtic held their third annual golf classic at Moyola golf club on Friday August 4th, and despite some poor weather for parts of the day the entry of 26 teams battled hard for the excellent range of prizes.
This is the third such event that Draperstown Celtic have hosted and it has gone from strength to strength and it hoped that this trend will continue in the coming years. The success of this year’s competition was largely down to Paddy Mallon and Ronan Bradley whose organisation of the event began six months ago and their committment and hard work is very much appreciated by all at Draperstown Celtic.
At the presentation event, Celtic chairman, Michael Kelly thanked Moyola Golf club for the use of their course and the co-opertaion and expertise of their staff on the day. Special thanks went to course ranger, Alex Leacock for his support throughout the day. He went on to thank the catering staff who produced an excellent meal to all the competitiors. Thanks were extended to all those who took part, especially in such inclement weather.Their suport is very much appreciated in what has become Celtic’s biggest fund raiser of the year.
Thanks were also expressed to all those companies and individuals who sponsored the event and whose continued support of the football club is always very much appreciated.
